Production line simulation
See your line. Shape its flow.
LineLab is a practical sandbox for production line simulation. Lay out conveyors, stations and inspection units, set their rates, and watch product move through the line before anything is built.
Throughput
See what the line makes in parts per minute, shift by shift.
Bottlenecks
Find the unit that is holding the rest of the line back.
Rejects
Follow rejected product to the bin, or back through rework.
Why LineLab
A layout shows where things go. Not what happens when they run.
On paper a line always works. In practice products arrive back to back at a check weigher, one slow station starves the next, and a diverter arm cannot push as fast as the infeed delivers.
LineLab lets you try the line on screen first. Change a rate, a buffer or a gating pitch and see the effect in seconds, with every unit reporting how much of the shift it spent working, blocked or waiting.
What it models
The units you actually put on a line.
Each one has the settings you would find on its data sheet: a rate, a length and speed, a pitch, a push time.
Stations
A rate in parts per minute, room to hold product, operators, breakdowns and repair times.
Conveyors and curves
Length, width and speed. Product queues back to back when the exit is blocked.
Gating units
Release product at a set pitch so the unit downstream gets the gap it needs.
Inspection and check weighers
One product on the conveyor at a time. Two together are both rejected.
Divertors and merges
Split and rejoin lanes, with the push time and maximum rate of the arm.
Reject bins and rework
Send rejects to a bin and count them, or route them to a station that fixes them.
Operators and shifts
Shared operator groups, and working periods with breaks across the day.
Counters
Attach a counter to any unit to see what has passed that point.
How it works
Lay it out, set the numbers, watch it run.
Lay out the line
Drag units end to end. They snap together and connect, in the shape the line takes on the floor.
Set the numbers
Rates, lengths, speeds, pitches, reject percentages and repair times, each on the unit they belong to.
Watch it run
Replay any moment of the shift at any speed, and read throughput, time in line and work in progress.
A model is only as good as the numbers put into it. Compare its assumptions with the physical line before relying on a forecast.
